Do my Labour Law Posters and Charts expire? Do I need to replace them annually?

NO! The labour law wall charts and posters are merely a summary of the most important parts of the specific act. They only need to be replaced or updated when the government makes significant changes to the specific act and publishes a gazette stating that new portions need to be added to the summary poster.

There is no legal requirement for the posters to have the year in which they were created, plastered all over them! This practice has become commonplace by several unscrupulous companies using fearmongering to trick people into buying hugely overpriced posters that they don't require.

Know the difference between a labour broker and a labour department inspector.

The department of labour will almost always inform you of an upcoming inspection, whereas a labour broker will just rock up at your premises. Your first clue to the difference is a government inspector may not try to sell you posters, and will merely advise you to update your posters, should they be out of date.

A labour broker will threaten all sorts of fines and penalties should you fail to buy their "latest posters"

Don't panic and buy from these people. Contact a reputable supplier first and confirm if you need to update your posters.
